KELLY BRADLEY Watercolour Artist
PROFILE
Kelly discovered art at an early age after attending art classes with a friend (to keep her friend company). Those initial classes inspired Kelly to attend Wexford C.I. in Scarborough to participate in their vocation art program. Many years passed and family life took priority, before she decided to pursue her passion for art again. Having taken a few courses, as well as a lot of self studying (and self discovering) Kelly now paints mostly in watercolours, focusing on nature for her subject matter.
ARTISTS STATEMENT
"I work mainly in watercolours because I love the luminous quality that can be achieved with the paint. My paintings often have a unique combination of a realistic and abstract look to them. I use nature as my inspiration, creating close focus images of flowers, trees, and leaves, which can create an intimate feeling with the subject as well as with the painting."
